My Punchbowl is a social networking website that I gave a demonstration of in class. It is an electronic party planning website.
Slashdot
Slashdot is a social network blogging website that talks about a lot of current social science topics. Anybody is allowed to make posts and post on other blogs.
In this I also learned that we can make Facebook groups that tie into lesson plans for teachers. The link below goes to an example of a Facebook that I created.
Demos
There were several in class demonstrations about different internet sites and social networks that teachers can used to assist in there lessons. There are two sites of demos that I used as well as three others ones that other people have used.
Flixter is a webiste where people are allowed to post to critique movies. This could be used to comment on movies students have watched in class for their assignments.
Instructables
Instructable is a website in which video and photographs can be posted to. This website can be used to give students a visual during a lesson.
